The DSC is releasing a series of video testimonies by participants at the June 2009 DSC Conference in Chicago, where the National Resolution was drafted.
Voices - Parent Organizer, New Orleans
The first video testimony in our series is from Damekia Morgan, Parent Organizer at Families and Friends of Louisiana's Incarcerated Children (FFLIC). She discusses the impact of zero-tolerance discipline on students' human right to education and talks about how we can build a human rights movement for change. FFLIC is a member organization of the DSC and a signatory to the National Resolution.
