ESSA House Education and the Workforce Committee Hearing Statement

On February 25, 2016 the U.S. House Education and the Workforce Committee held the Upholding the Letter and Intent of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) hearing to discuss implementation of ESSA. The Dignity in Schools Campaign (DSC) submitted a statement to the committee with our recommendations for ESSA implementation that call for the U.S. Department of Education to issue regulations and guidance for states choosing school climate and safety as an accountability indicator of overall school quality and student success.
