In Itta Bena, the Mississippi Delta Catalyst Roundtable, together with Southern Echo and Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU), hosted a major Week of Action event to focus on the implications of compulsory school district consolidation for school pushout.

The 6th Conference of Mississippi Education Stakeholders on Dismantling the Achievement Gap, 9am-3:30pm

In conjunction with Southern Echo, Inc., and Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU), the Mississippi Delta Catalyst Roundtable held a statewide conference. This conference brought together parents, students, school officials, and the State Superintendent of Education, Dr. Tom Burnham, to discuss issues of school effectiveness and looking at healthy schools and communities. Participants hailed from 44 local school districts and communities. Read more about the event on the blog.

The Delta Consortium for Positive Change (DCPC) hosted a community rally in Glen Allen, Mississippi. DCPC distributed school pushout literature, served food, interviewed area students and families affected by school pushout.
