In conjunction with Southern Echo, Inc., and Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU), the Mississippi Delta Catalyst Roundtable held a statewide conference. This conference brought together parents, students, school officials, and the State Superintendent of Education, Dr. Tom Burnham, to discuss issues of school effectiveness and looking at healthy schools and communities. The Delta Consortium for Positive Change (DCPC) hosted a community rally in Glen Allen, Mississippi. DCPC distributed school pushout literature, served food, interviewed area students and families affected by school pushout.
