On Tuesday October 12, the Dignity in Schools Campaign-Los Angeles Chapter organized a series of actions at the local school board discussing the impacts of school pushout. Participating organizations included The Community Rights Campaign, the Youth Justice Coalition (YJC), the Community Asset Development Re-defining Education (CADRE), Public Counsel Law Center, and Mental Health Advocacy Services, Inc.

DSC - LA held a series of actions outside the Los Angeles School Board building, which included creation of a life size maze replica of the School to Prison Pipeline, testimony in front of the school board, a press conference, the release of DSC - LA's newest documents - School Police Model Policy and Principles for a School Police Review Board.  DSC - LA also re-released the report Redefining Dignity in Our Schools with a new Spanish language executive summary and Police in LAUSD Schools with updated commentary.

On Wednesday, Oct. 13, the Golden Gate University Chapter of the ACLU hosted a panel on school pushout, which featured speakers from the ACLU of Northern California Racial Justice Project, EXCEL High School, and Legal Services for Children.
