DSC Days at the Capitol I, September 2010
On September 29-30, over 30 youth, parents, organizers and advocates from seven states participated in the DSC Day at the Capitol in Washington, DC, where they met with staff at the White House and US Department of Education, and members of the US Senate and House of Representatives to advocate for comprehensive data collection and accountability over discipline in schools, and better support and funding for schools and districts to implement positive approaches to discipline and school climate.

On September 27-28, DSC members also participated in a conference hosted by the US Department of Justice and Department of Education Office of Civil Rights on "School Discipline and Human Rights.
