Dignity in Schools Campaign Statement on the Council of State Governments Report on School Disciplinary Practices in Texas
in The Dignity in Schools Campaign (DSC) commends the Council of State Governments (CSG) for its report on school disciplinary practices in Texas, and calls on other states across the country to make similar commitments to investigate the negative impacts of suspension and expulsion on students academic outcomes.

Community Rights Campaign "Truancy Ticket" Victory

On MLK day of 2010 PSU launched the Campaign for Nonviolent Schools (CNS). CNS is a grassroots youth-led citywide coalition of high school and middle school students from nine youth leadership organizations (and counting) in Philadelphia, defying language, ethnic, and neighborhood divides to end all forms of school violence without pushing students into the criminal justice system.
